INFORMS Railway Application Sections presents the 2022 Problem Solving Competition

Registration Deadline: July 1, 2022

The INFORMS Railway Applications Section, the largest group of railway focused data and decision sciences professionals and researchers, is pleased to announce the 2022 Problem Solving Competition.

This year the competition is for “Designing real-time traffic management for an urban rail transit system – London’s new Elizabeth line, UK”. Details can be found at https://connect.informs.org/railway-applications/new-item3/problem-solving-competition681.

Practitioners (including students) of operations research and advanced analytics who are interested in solving problems in the railroad domain are welcome to participate.

Participation in the RAS Problem Solving Competition requires registration by 1-July-2022. Every team must register by the due date to participate in the contest. To register, please send the following information to railwayapplicationssection@gmail.com by the deadline.

✓ For each team member: Name, Email, Organization, Position.
✓ Brief statement describing what motivated you to participate.

After submitting your registration email, you will receive an email confirming your team’s successful registration and eligibility, and you will be added to the competition’s channel in Slack.
