Job Description
The Industrial Engineering Department of the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (UTFSM or USM, for short) is seeking to hire a full-time Academic who will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of Operations Management, Economics and Finance, Strategic Management and Market Research, Business Analytics, Technology Management, and other related areas of Industrial Engineering (Position Code VI26-08). Job Responsibilities:
Academic responsibilities, according to current regulations, include teaching, research and development (R&D&i+e), outreach, and administrative duties. Shortlisted candidates who meet the basic requirements will be invited to give a presentation. If no applicant meets the profile required by the Department, the search may be declared void and reopened at a later date.

- Copies of five relevant publications.
- Statement of research plans and teaching interests.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
a. Hold a Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering. Candidates who are currently in the final stage of their doctoral studies may also be considered, provided that they obtain the degree before assuming the position.
b. Demonstrate teaching experience in Higher Education, preferably in courses similar to those offered by the Department.
c. Present active research lines in one or more of the following areas: Economics and Finance, Technology Management, Operations Management, Strategic Management, Market Engineering, Business Analytics, and Entrepreneurship.
d. Demonstrate capacity and experience in international research through indexed publications.
e. Demonstrate proficiency in both Spanish and English, oral and written. However, applicants who are not proficient in Spanish must be willing to acquire sufficient command of the language within one year in order to teach and interact effectively with students.
