APORS Youth Forum 2025 – Calling all young researchers!

The APORS Youth Forum 2025 provides an opportunity for young researchers from across the APORS (Association of Asia-Pacific Operational Research Societies) and other regions of IFORS (International Federation of Operational Research Societies) to interact with their peers and more established OR scientists. The IFORS Tutorial Lecture will be given by Prof. Yinyu Ye of Stanford University. APORS Youth Forum will be held in Hong Kong on 29 November 2025.

Young OR researchers (postgraduate students, postdocs, early-career) are cordially invited to present their on-going or recently completed work at the Forum. Abstracts (of no more than 400 words) can be submitted via EasyChair at https://easychair.org/cfp/APORS-YF2025. Deadline for submission: 30 September 2025.

To encourage young researchers to participate in the APORS Youth Forum, IFORS will offer 10 Travelling Fellowships (of up to US$500 each) to support travel and accommodation expenses for young researchers who will be presenting their work at the APORS Youth Forum 2025. APORS (Association of Asia-Pacific Operational Research Societies) is a regional grouping within the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS). The aim of APORS is to promote operational research as a highly-valued discipline and a well-respected profession within the Asia- Pacific region. APORS promotes exchanges and collaborations between OR societies within Asia-Pacific region and other OR societies within IFORS.

The APORS Youth Forum is hosted by the Operational Research Society of Hong Kong (ORSHK) and the Polytechnic University of Hong Kong. ORSHK, established since 1980, aims to promote mutual interaction and cooperation among researchers, practitioners, and professional organizations, related to Operational Research and Management Science discipline, in Hong Kong.
