Mission
The mission of GLOW is to connect, empower and promote women in Operations Research (OR) from around the globe by addressing common challenges, facilitating collaboration, and increasing visibility, recognition, and leadership opportunities for women in the profession.
Objectives
The objectives of GLOW are:
- to connect different organizations and communities that share the mission of GLOW;
- to provide networking opportunities to women in OR;
- to increase national and international visibility of women in OR;
- to promote equal opportunities and proportional representation of women at different levels of their professional careers, and in the various roles of the profession;
- To activate research at the intersection of gender equality and OR.
Structure
The activities of GLOW are coordinated by a committee nominated by the IFORS Administrative Committee.
