Job description

The Department of Mathematics and Systems Analysis ( at Aalto University invites applications from outstanding candidates for an assistant or associate professor position. The Department’s main research areas are:
• analysis
• discrete mathematics
• numerical analysis and mechanics
• stochastics and statistics
• systems and operations research.

Applications are welcome from all research areas. In particular, candidates in operations research and statistics are encouraged to apply. A doctoral degree in mathematics or a closely related discipline is required.

There is an opportunity to advance in tenure track through regular performance assessments, which consider merits in research, teaching and impact within and outside the university environment as well as international collaboration.

4)    List of publications (with the 10 most significant publications highlighted),
5)    A research statement describing the applicant’s past research and plans for future research and
