Research Project “Cutting, packing, lot-sizing, scheduling, routing, location and their integration in industrial and logistics settings”, supported by São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) offers a post-doctoral fellowship.
This opportunity is to work with the Systems Modeling and Optimization Group of the Applied Mathematics Department (DMAp) at São Paulo State University (UNESP) campus São José do Rio Preto, Brazil, under the supervision of Prof. Silvio Alexandre de Araujo.
The research project involves the study of lot-sizing problems integrated to other problems of the industrial production planning and programming. The candidates must have a PhD (or being close to conclude it) in applied mathematics, production engineering, computer sciences or in a related
area. It is required full and exclusive dedication to the activities of the project, according to the FAPESP rules available in http://fapesp.br/bolsas/pd. The selection process will consider the CV of the candidates and their potential contribution to the research area of this project.
The post-doctoral candidate should have experience in operations research techniques, including optimization mathematical modelling, linear and integer programming. It is desirable previous knowledges in integrated lot-sizing problems.
Applications must include the cover letter, an updated CV and a recommendation letter. All the documents must be sent electronically until January 20 th , 2019 to Prof. Silvio Alexandre de Araujo: silvio.araujo@unesp.br.
The selected candidate will receive a Post-Doctoral scholarship from FAPESP (BR$7,373 approximately US$1,966 per month tax free), besides additional funds of 15% of the annual value of the scholarship to meet unforeseen expenses and directly related to the research activity.
